Indoor Air Quality
What Are My Indoor Air Obligations?
In the modern world, we are exposed to more and more harmful contaminants, with the long-term effects proven to be a leading cause of health concerns.
Contaminants including gases, microorganisms, dusts, smoke, and other particulate matter. These may be present in make-up air or be introduced from indoor activities, furnishings, building materials, surface coatings and air handling components. Factors include toxicity, potential to induce infection or allergies, irritants, extreme thermal conditions, and objectionable odours.
The quality of the indoor air can have a dramatic impact on an occupant's perception of their workplace and even lead to long term chronic conditions if not identified quickly.
Compliance In Three Easy Steps
1
ASSESS.
As airborne contaminates are invisible, the only real way to understand the indoor air quality of a building is to sample using specialist equipment. Sampling should take place across a representative area of the building and include baseline reading os CO, CO2. Particulates, RH, Temp and VOC's.
2
REMEDIATE.
Once understood rectification of poor-quality indoor air can be achieved simply in most instances, opening windows more often, adjustments to the ventilation or simply reducing the temperature to comfortable levels can have huge impacts on the health and wellbeing of occupants.
3
MONITOR.
It is essential to have a long-term monitoring plan in place to suit the environment. IAQ can change over time due to changes in external factors or occupancy. Ongoing monitoring and adjustment of ventilation will bring the most benefits to building managers.

Our Indoor Air Quality Solution Is Different
Instead of focussing on one or two contaminates, assessing the full suite of indoor air quality parameters enables us to give a clear picture of the indoor air quality and help dig down into the root cause of the issues.
By overlaying the data onto plans, we can start to make local recommendations based on the actual evidence found. No two buildings are the same and the quality of the assessment enables intelligent fact-based decision-making that will make a real difference to occupants.

A word from our CEO
"Indoor air quality - you wouldn't drink a glass of dirty water the air we breathe is no different "
"Following the Covid-19 pandemic people are far more aware of the role that air plays in the transmission of infections, however it's just as likely to be delivering harmful contamination direct to our lungs as harmful Virus'. It is estimated by the World Health Organisation that there are over 7million deaths each year directly linked to air quality and polluted air.
We are just starting to understand the harmful impacts of heavy pollutants (that are found in higher number inside our buildings), more and more we are findings employers and landlords who tackle the issue can find easy affordable solutions and reap the benefits of employee satisfaction and improved productivity. Indoor air quality is already being shown to be one of the biggest addressable factors in the population's health and wellbeing." - Titus W. (CEO)
